Thank you for making sale a success

The VVS Education Foundation 25th Anniversary Garage and Pie Sale was held onApril 27 at the CAC in Sherrill. It was a rousing success. Again, community support was amazing. Many people donated sale items, bought raffle tickets, gave monetary donations, baked pies, and came to shop.

Our rafflewas very successful thanks to the support of our local merchants. Theywere very generous again this year with gift certificates and prizes. We encourage everyone who supports our sale to support their businesses. We thank the following: Swistak Farmand Nicky Doodles in Verona; Darla’s Place, Nothin’ Fancy, Apple Betty’s, and the Black Stallion Restaurant in Vernon; Greenhouse Brew, Corner Diner, Ebeneezer’s Cafe, Joe’s Jerky, New York Pizzeria, Tops Market, Taste of China, Laura Diddle, and Lynn P. Jones in Sherrill. We also awarded $25.00 cash prizes to four lucky people in honor of our 25th sale.

The Garage Sale Committee would like to thank Sara Getman and her crew, Adam, Jeff, Dale, and Ben, and the City of Sherrill for supporting the work that we do. We thank BobHaldenwang and his crew for their continued help after our sale.

Somany people work extremely hard to make our sale happen. As chairperson, I can’t them them enough for all they do. It has been my pleasure to work with them over the years. The people mentioned above make up a truly amazing group who go above and beyond to make our sale a successful event each year. I amvery fortunate to have worked with so many good people for twenty five years. We again thank the community for their continued support of our sale.
