Spring Fun(d) Day

Cleveland — The Cleveland United Methodist Church will hold its 34th annual Spring Fun(d) Day on May 31 from 5-8 p.m. There will be a rummage and bake sale, as well as food. On June 1 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. will be a rummage and bake sale, chicken BBQ, games and bounce house, food, and music from 9 a.m. to noon. There will be a charity auction at noon provided by Messier’s Auction Service.

Community Art Wall at Sherrill Library

Sherrill — The Sherrill Kenwood Library Community Art Wall for the month of May will display the work of young artists, ages 2-5, who attend Cornue’s Children Corner. The display exhibits the students play. Cornue’s Children Corner has been serving children in Sherrill and the surroundin­g communitie­s for over 20 years. The Community Art Wall currently has openings the months of July and December. Anyone interested in displaying and sharing their talent please contact the library at 315-363-5980.

Brookfield alumni picnic

Brookfield — The Brookfield Central School Alumni Picnic will be held on Sunday, June 2, starting at 1 p.m. in the school gymnasium. Bring a dish to pass and table service. Adirondack Mountain Club

New Hartford — The Iroquois Chapter of the Adirondack Mountain Club will hold its annual picnic meeting on Tuesday, June 4, from 5-8 p.m. at Sherrill Brook Park, New Hartford, Pavilion No. 3. All members and nonmembers are invited to attend. Bring a dish to share and your own place setting. The club will provide hot dogs, hamburgers and drinks.

Craft Festival applicants wanted

Sherrill fishing derby

Sherrill — The city of Sherrill will hold its annual Kids Fishing Derby for children ages 15 and younger on Saturday, June 8, at Sherrill Pond. Signups begin at 11 a.m. and each child will receive a goody bag with fish supplies. Fishing will be from noon to 1:30 p.m. Every registered child will receive a door prize. Grand prizes will be awarded at 2 p.m. Age groups are ages 5 and younger; ages 6-7; ages 8-9; and ages 10-15. The derby is free. Food and drinks will be available.

Bridgeport — The opening of the Lakeside Farmers Market will be held on Thursday, June 13 from 3-7 p.m. at the Bridgeport United Methodist Church on North Rd. in Bridgeport. Clinton Garden Club

‘Kafka’s Metamorpho­sis’
