Women’s health open house
UTICA, N.Y. >> NationalWomen’s Health Week is celebrated every year beginning onMother’s Day, and serves as a reminder to women to make their health a priority and take time out of their busy schedules to spend time on their well-being. For these reasons, Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) will host a Women’s Health Open House on Wednesday, May 22, at the Center for Rehabilitation and Continuing Care Services (CRCCS) on the St. Luke’s Campus from 4:306:30 p.m. The St. Luke’s Campus is located at 1650 Champlin Ave., Utica.
“In today’s world, women often put themselves and their health last on their ‘to do’ list,” said Nancy Butcher, MBA, executive director of Cancer Services. “It is important for women to care for themselves so they can be more effective mothers, wives, sisters, friends, etc. This is a great opportunity to learn about all of the health services that MVHS has to offer. Breast care, health and wellness, nutrition and imaging are just some of the services that will be represented at the event. Take care of yourself and take advantage of this wonderful opportunity.”
The event is free and open to the public and attendees will enjoy a free glass of wine, hors d’oeuvres, massages, goody bags, door prizes and local vendor displays with items available for purchase. The MVHS programs and services that will be present include the Cancer Center, Breast Care Center, Nutrition Services, Surgical Services, Lymphedema Support, Diabetes Program, Rehabilitation Services and more.
