ROME, N.Y. >> During National Hospital Week, Rome MemorialHo­spital honored its Employees of the Year for clearly demonstrat­ing customer service characteri­stics that enhance patient satisfacti­on and promote positive peer relationsh­ips.

President/Chief Executive OfficerDav­id Lundquist praised the Employees of the Year for “their commitment to the hospital and going the extra mile for our patients and their co-workers each and every day.”

“The employees of Rome Memorial Hospital are a great team who believes in ourmission to provide quality healthcare with compassion,” he said. “Each of our Employees of the Year are leaders by example who have taken ownership within their areas of expertise to make the hospital a special place for each patient who puts their health care in our hands.”

Nominated by co-workers, patients, families or physicians, the Employees of the Year were honored for exemplary demonstrat­ion of the C.A.R.E. principles of Compassion, Accountabi­lity, Respect and Excellence.
