Company announces new hires, promotions
ROME, N.Y. >> Assured Information Security (AIS) welcomes new employee Phi lippe Content and Dr. Richard Hughes, and has promoted Erin Bushinger to senior marketing manager.
As chief financial officer, Content leads the Finance Department, including Accounting and Contracting. Early in his career, he was part of the Allied Command Europe Mobile Forces as a Company Commander. Prior to joining AIS, he served as an investment banker in New York City and also supported Bell Labs in a strategic role before starting his own consulting firm. Content has served in CFO roles for the last 12 years withmore than $10 billion in transaction experience.
He earned a master’s degree in Engineering Sciences from the Royal Military Academy, Polytechnic Division in Brussels, Belgium and a MBA from Boston University
As senior manager of Marketing and Communications, Bushinger is responsible for leading and strategizing marketing initiatives as well as the accurate, consistent and positive representation of AIS internally and externally. Prior to joining AIS, Bushinger was the manager of Marketing and Communications for the Mohawk Valley Health System(MVHS). Before MVHS, she was an event manager at The Selva Group, a medical education company located in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. She is currently on the board of directors of United Way of theValley andGreaterUtica as well as chair of its Marketing Committee.
Bushinger holds a master’s degree in Information Design and Technology from SUNYIT Utica/ Rome in Marcy, N.Y., and a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications of Syracuse University in Syracuse, N.Y.
Hughes, as program manager of the ACT2 CPACA task order in the Strategic Accounts Group, is the managerial and administrative authority for designated technical areas. Prior to joining AIS, Hughes was an Air Force acquisition program manager and served most recently as a program manager for projects involving the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency’s (NGA) Amazon Cloud transition and Command and Control programs at the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) in Rome, N.Y. His program management experience ranges from Air to Air missiles (AMRAAM), Foreign Military Sales of air traffic control radars, aircraft avionics upgrades for C-5s and KC-135s and government transitions into cloud environments.
