VERONA, N.Y. >> The Oneida Indian Nation has chosen Las Vegas sports betting veteran Justin Arnett as its first director of sports book operations.

Drawing upon his years of experience at some of the most highly-regarded casinos in the world including The Venetian and the Palazzo, Arnett will oversee the sports books at all three of the Oneida Indian Nation’s Central New York gaming venues — Turning Stone, Point Place Casino in Bridgeport and Yellow Brick Road Casino in Chittenango.

Arnett will bring his vast experience from working in the “Entertainment Capital of the World” to the Oneida Indian Nation’s three casinos. Mostly recently, he managed daily operations of the race and sports books at The Venetian, The Palazzo and inside Lagasse’s Stadium. Previously, he worked on the sports book teams at the Hard Rock Casino Hotel & Casino Las Vegas, the M Resort, The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas and the Gold Coast Hotel & Casino.

“Our new sports books will exceed the already high standards of excellence that have established our venues as New York’s preeminent gaming destinations,” said Oneida Indian Nation Representative and Nation Enterprises CEO Ray Halbritter. “By bringing in a highly- experienced professional like Justin, who knows this industry inside and out, and through our partnership with Caesars, we will bring the best of sports betting to Upstate New York.”

“I’ve had the tremendous opportunity of managing sports books for some of the most highlyrespected casinos and entertainment venues in the world, and I am thrilled that the Oneida Indian Nation’s sports books will be of that same caliber — as it is with everything they do,” said Arnett. “I am honored and exited to help kick off this new endeavor.”

In addition to the new sports book director, the Oneida Indian Nation opened its search for candidates to fill more than 60 positions on its new sports book team, which include additional managerial roles and numerous full- and part-time jobs. Positions to support the sports book operations across all three casinos include sports book managers and supervisors, ticket writers, bartenders, beverage servers, cooks, line cooks and food runners.
