Foundation lists nominees for 2019 Wall of Distinctio­n

ONEIDA, N.Y. >> The Oneida City School District Foundation has named the following individual­s who will be inducted on Sept. 28 to the 2019 Wall of Distinctio­n:

• Dr. James L. Bramley, OHS 1969

• Susan A. Brewer, Ph.D., OHS 1976

• Jack Campbell, OHS 1972

• Maureen Conroy, OHS 1968

• Judith M. DeNova, OHS 1970

• Michael J. Egan, OHS 1962

• Paul E. Froass, OHS 1915 (posthumous­ly)

• Robert H. Fearon, Jr., (posthumous­ly)

• Frank Przybycien, OHS 1962

• Frederick Volp, Ph. D., OCSD Superinten­dent, retired

• Alan F. Williams, Ph. D., OHS 1957

The OCSD Foundation’s annual Wall of Distinctio­n Induction Dinner will be held on Saturday, Sept. 28, at Theodore’s on Route 5, Canastota. There will be a social hour from 6-7 p.m., with a buffet dinner and induction ceremony to follow.

The public is encouraged to join in this celebrator­y recognitio­n of the many important societal contributi­ons each of the inductees has made personally and profession­ally.

Tickets for the dinner are $30 andmay be reserved by Sept. 23 through Lori Cimpi, OCSD, 1136 Freedom Dr., Oneida, N.Y. 13421 or by calling 315- 361-6072.

Those individual­s and area businesses also wishing to make donations to the OCSD Foundation may also do so by contacting Lori Cimpi. Donors will be listed in the program, unless otherwise specified.

The mission of the OCSD Foundation is to complement the OCSD in its effort to provide a quality education for all students. Fundraisin­g efforts enhance existing programs, help finance classroom projects that require funding beyond the capabiliti­es of the district budget, reward the district’s students with financial assistance for higher education, preserve and promote school spirit by connecting alumni, community members, and district retirees with current staff and students, while building an endowment fund to support future initiative­s.

Since its inception in 2002, the OCSD Foundation has awarded in excess of $41,000 in classroom grants, and over $90,000 in student scholarshi­ps. These funds are generated through donations, purchase of pavers for the Brick Garden, as well as monetary support and sponsorshi­p of the annual Wall of Distinctio­n Dinner.
