Town to discuss assessor, roads
The monthly meeting of the town of Lebanon will take place Monday, Aug. 12in Randallsville at 7:30p.m.
RANDALLSVILLE, N.Y. >> Town of Lebanon board members will hold their monthly meeting on Monday August 12 at the New Life Community Center in Randallsville at 7:30 p.m. The public is invited to attend. Items on the agenda include: • Six year appointment for assessor shared by Eaton and Georgetown in the Coordinated Assessment program
• Status of revaluation expected to begin next year in all three towns.
• Status of CHIPs and local road projects
• Status of code enforcement issues
• Preview of 2020 town budget challenges
• LandManagement Local Law proposed change updates status
• Status of Kriemhild butter plant expansion.
• Madison County updates
At the July 8 meeting of the Town Board, the following town board actions were taken:
• Authorized the order of a 2020 Heavy Duty Highway truck – after much discussion and research Highway Supt Alex Hodge chose to recommend the new Stadium International with the new Cummings engine which was on a county bid price that was lower than the Mack Truck option. Town officials will examine financing options the closer the truck get to delivery which include lease purchase vs. bonding.
• Mandated sexual harassment training for all town officials and employees pursuant to new state requirement.
• Authorized building permit fee changes after receiving only one public comment in two months despite multiple articles and an advertisement in the Mid York Weekly.
• Discussed status of several code enforcement cases that are in court pending resolution.
• Scheduled and held a special town meeting with the town attorney on July 20 to discuss proposed changes to the Land Management Local Law and for advice of counsel.
