All Saints Day and All Souls Day masses

Oneida — The Catholic community of St. Patrick’s and St. Joseph’s announced masses for All Saints Day and All Souls Day. All Saints Day masses will occur on Friday, Nov. 1 at 8:30 a.m. and 12:05 p.m. at St. Joseph’s; 9:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. at St. Patrick’s. The All Souls Daymass will be held Monday, Nov. 4 at 7 p.m. at St. Patrick’s.

Operation Christmas Child

Vernon — Shiloh Bible Church is teaming up with Vernon Baptist Church to share a fun morning of fellowship and shoebox packing to support Operation Christmas Child. The event will be held on Saturday, Nov. 9 at 10 a.m. at Vernon Baptist Church.

Harvest Supper

Oneida — St. Paul’s Annual Harvest Supper will be held, Wednesday, Nov. 6. Attendees can enjoy roast pork and all the homemade trimmings including dessert. WinterWear Giveaway

Bridgeport — There will be a giveaway of gently used winter wear for all ages and sizes at the Bridgeport UnitedMeth­odist Church at 377 NYS Route 31 on Saturday, Nov. 2 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Footwear will also be available. A free breakfast and lunch will be offered. Donations will be accepted. Sponsored by the Minoa/ Bridgeport/ Kirkville Ecumenical Council.

Fall Bazaar

Chittenang­o — St. Patrick’s Church (Chittenang­o) will host its Fall Bazaar Saturday, Nov. 23 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 1341 Murray Dr., Chittenang­o.The Bazaar will include: basket raffles, craft sales, live music, bake sale, Chance Wheel (for turkies), and a grand raffle with prizes of $1000, $250 and $100. Food will be available for purchase. There is no entrance fee, but you’re encouraged to bring a canned good, which will give you a chance for a door prize.

Bible study

Sherrill — Plymouth Alliance Church in Sherrill is doing a Bible Study called “Priorities: The Tyranny of the Urgent.” The study begins the week of Sunday, October 6th and we have a variety of groups meeting throughout theweek for you to pick that fits your schedule. Consignmen­t Shop accepting items

Oneida — The Second Hand Rose Consignmen­t Shop of Oneida First Presbyteri­an Church will be accepting new and nearly new Fall and Winter women’s and children’s items along with small household items. Bridgeport — The Lakeside Farmers Market, a collaborat­ion of Bridgeport United Methodist Church and the community, is every Thursday from3-7 p.m., rain or shine. Morrisvill­e — The Morrisvill­e Community Church Food Pantry has moved from the Cornell Cooperativ­e Building, 100 Eaton St., Morrisvill­e, to the lower level of theMorrisv­ille Community Church, located at 3824 Swamp Road, Morrisvill­e. Friendship Inn open each Thursday

MORRISVILL­E — Friendship Inn at St. Joan of Arc Church offers a free weekly meal to the Morrisvill­e community every Thursday beginning at 5 p.m. Non-denominati­onal and open to all, regardless of financial need, Friendship Inn draws on a small army of volunteers who fulfill numerous tasks, from set-up, cooking, serving, to clean-up. Volunteers are always needed. Donations are welcome as well to supplement food offerings and to purchase equipment and supplies. Clothing donations accepted

ONEIDA — St. John’s Episcopal Church, 341 Main St., has been chosen by St. Pauly Textile, Inc. as a repository for used clothing. St. Pauly’s mission is to provide wearable clothing to people who need it, both in the United States and Third World countries. Items that can be collected include clothing, shoes, sneakers, belts, purses, linens, blankets, curtains and stuffed toys. No rags or fabric scraps, pillows, toys or household goods are accepted. Donations are not cut up or shredded. Items should be placed in plastic bags (no larger than 13 gal. size) and placed in the chute of the shed located on St. John’s driveway. Donations are acceptable any time of the day or night. This mission has provided more than 30 million garments to people all over the world who are in need.

Utica — Parents of Addicted Loved Ones (PAL) is a national organizati­on founded in Arizona. The group will be led by Michelle Holliday, who has been trained by PAL. Some of the topics covered are: addiction cycle, traits and behaviors, delayed emotional growth, role of family and enabling behaviors.
