Life is beautiful

On Sunday morning I woke up to an inspiring story from a good friend who struggled with a learning disability and is doing lots of good in the neighborhood. The strange coincidence is that the night before I went to bed with an inspiring story from a movie. A true story about a young man who defeated his troubled upbringing. Is this a coincidence or is it GOD’s way of presenting Himself to give me courage to persevere in spite of the the stumbling pebbles life presents my way.

Yes. I often ask how I managed to get where I am now, do what I do, see what I see and foremost experienced what I have experienced what I have never planned or dreamt of.

I look out the window, a beautiful mystical and snowy day, instead of feeling sorry for myself, after reading my friends post, I find solace in writing and inspired to write my own story. First, I find joy in picking up a simple pen and paper to scribble what it is on my mind. Why is that? Is it because I have struggled with the harsh reality of my own upbringing. I often find it so much harder to talk about myself than it is to focus on others. Is it because I still have some berried undealt with pain. Yes. I have been broken; my body beaten, my brain was injured, my spirit and soul thwarted, and most of all my heart was harden! Oh GOD, how I cried, finally he answered to my despairs and gave me comfort.

How much more can I ask for, a beautiful child, a place to live and people to serve and be thankful for all that surrounds me.

Thanking NBT Bank’s Operations Center employees

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the employees of NBT Bank’s Operations Center for choosing the United Way of Greater Oneida as the benefactor of their Casual for a Cause Day proceeds. The employees have generously donated two checks recently totaling $280.00.

With sincere thanks to the employees of the Operations Center for their thoughtful donation which will help to ensure that our 13 funded partners are able to continue to provide services to those who look to them for assistance. This is a perfect example of how creative ideas can add to the success of our fundraising campaign.
