Ramirez appointed to Tourism Association
VERONA, N.Y. >> Karen Ramirez, Senior Vice President of Hospitality at Turning Stone Resort and Casino, was elected to the Executive Committee of the New York State Hospitality & Tourism Association’s ( NYSH&TA) Board of Directors.
NYSH& TA’s mission is to lead and protect the New York State hospitality and tourism industry by providing advocacy, education, and resources, officials said in a news release.
Off icia l s noted how NYSH&TA is the oldest state lodging association in the country, representing 1,000 members including hotels, motels, resorts, conference centers, country inns, bed & breakfast establishments, reservation service organizations, amusement parks, attractions, museums, ski areas, recreational facilities, historical sites, convention and visitor bureaus, chambers of commerce, colleges and universities, hospitality students and suppliers to the industry.
“The Association is looking forward to working with Karen in a larger capacity as she brings an abundance of real-life and hotel experience to the officer position,” NYSH& TA President Mark Dorr said in the release. “Her passion for the hospitality industry and her love for the state of New York is a great addition to the Association’s leadership.”
