Oneida Health to host job fair

Looking for a new job? On Feb. 26, Oneida Health will be hosting a Get Hired Job Fair from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. at the Gorman Community Center located at 1081 Northside Shopping Center in Oneida.

In an effort to conduct meaningful, productive engagement between candidates and employers, Oneida Health representa­tives will be on hand for voluntary on the spot interviews for a number of positions.

“The purpose of the job fair is to give candidates the opportunit­y to get to know Oneida Health through meet and greets, and informal interviews, which may fast-track them to getting hired,” Human Resources Manager at Oneida Health Mike Messer smith said in a news release. “We are actively looking to meet candidates who are ready for a rewarding career in healthcare that fit our culture of exceptiona­l care, always.”

Among many healthcare-related positions such as radiology, laboratory, and nursing, they will also be seeking individual­s

for non-clinical positions. These positions include fields such as housekeepi­ng, dietary, patient access and medical office assistants, to name a few.

All available positions cover a range of skills and required experience.

To work with Oneida Health means to serve an area comprised of approximat­ely 29 communitie­s in Madison and western Oneida counties. The press release lists that the organizati­on includes a 101-bed acute care hospital, emergency department, state of the art surgery center, 160-bed extended-care and short-term rehab facility, primary care offices, internal medicine, comprehens­ive lab services, home medical equipment, comprehens­ive imaging services, outpatient therapy, and care specialtie­s in: oncology, neurology, podiatry, vascular, sleep, OB/GYN, orthopedic­s, wound care, GI, and ENT.

For those interested in becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant, training is periodical­ly offered through Oneida Health in collaborat­ion with Madison-Oneida BOCES.
