Camden High School announces top 10 students from Class of 2020

Camden Central High School recently announced the highestran­king students in the Class of 2020.

Mary Buckingham is the Valedictor­ian of the Class of 2020. She is the daughter of Lance and Carol Buckingham of Taberg. After graduation, Mary plans to attend Alfred State College to major in Mechanical Engineerin­g. Mary’s goals are to have a career as a mechanical engineer, build a home near her family, and use her skills to help revitalize Upstate New York.

Morgan Lucason is the Salutatori­an of the Class of 2020. She is the daughter of Phil and Kathleen Lucason of Camden. After graduation Morgan plans to attend the University of the Cumberland­s in Kentucky to further her education to become a Physician Assistant. Morgan’s goals are to complete her fiveyear program while competing on both the Cross-country and Indoor/outdoor Track and Field Team. After college, she hopes to be a successful, effective, and kind Physician Assistant.

3rd – Delainey Hebble is the daughter of Ronald and Susan Hebble of Camden. Delainey is planning to attend the University of Rochester to study Biomedical Engineerin­g. Her goal is to use her degree to make a difference in people’s lives by designing prosthetic­s for people in need, as well as for athletes.

4th – Marika Stauring is the daughter of Christophe­r and Carol Stauring of Taberg. Marika plans to attend St. Lawrence University to study Anthropolo­gy and Creative Writing. Her goals are to work at the Smithsonia­n Institute as an Anthropolo­gist, research ancient civilizati­ons, and travel the world performing site excavation­s. In her spare time, she plans to use her creativity to write best-selling novels.

5th – Jasmine Pritchard is the daughter of Christophe­r and Michelle Pritchard of Taberg. Jasmine plans to attend Mohawk Valley Community College to begin her education in the field of Physics Education. Her goals are to have a positive effect on her students and inspire them to be excited about learning.

6th – Victoria Baker is the daughter of Jenny Baker of Taberg. Victoria is currently undecided regarding her college choice but she plans to pursue a degree in Radiologic Technology. Her primary goals are to be able to properly provide for her family and travel as often as possible.

7th – Meilyn Schwartz is the daughter of Wayne and Sheri Schwartz of North Bay. Meilyn plans to attend Le Moyne College to study Mathematic­s. Her goals are to have a career that she enjoys and allows her to feel like she is making a difference in people’s lives. She hopes to surround herself with people that she loves.

8th – Matthew Lucero is the son of Linda Clemens of Blossvale. Matthew plans to attend SUNY Oneonta and his major is currently undeclared. His goals are to find a career that he loves and that is personally fulfilling, travel the world, and have a family and live happily.

9th – Billie Mae Dewick is the niece of Burt and Arlene Mosch of Redfield. Billie Mae plans to attend Keuka College to study Accounting. Her goals are to earn her CPA License and have a happy, successful life with the

financial stability to provide for her family and enjoy her hobbies.

10th – Mason Gerber is the son of John and Nicole Gerber of Camden. Mason plans to attend Rochester Institute of Technology to study Mechanical Engineerin­g. His goals are to design motors for the automotive industry and balance work with duck hunting and bass fishing.
