There’s still another goal for you to reach

There comes a time when you are at a crossroad in your life. Finally, you think you’ve turned the corner… only to find it’s a dead end.

There comes a time when you are at a crossroad in your life.

Finally, you think you’ve turned the corner… only to find it’s a dead end.

Or a goal is just about in your hands… and it is abruptly taken from your grasp.

Perhaps, with each step forward… you get pushed back four steps.

“What do I do?” you may question, “Which way do I go?”

Indisputably, I say, “Go forward!”

Instead of sitting around and being depressed, pick yourself up, because: Life has a bigger plan for you. Greater is coming. There’s still another goal for you to reach.

This is a turning point. Roadblocks have been put into your way to direct you onto a better path. God has another place for you. A path that is truer to the purpose God intends. Therefore, do not allow your faith to be shaken. Never lose heart or give in to bitter trials. Trust in the Lord, for some wonderful opportunity lies just around the next bend in the road.

You are a conqueror, a champion. Remember that those who have had extraordinary accomplishments also have had crushing defeats. We must anticipate obstacles. But know that if life hands us a trial, it also hands us the strength and ability to overcome that challenge. Stay open to new possibilities. Blaze new paths. And be ready to act when opportunity shows its face. God can put a single idea into your mind that could revolutionize your life and the lives of others.

Years ago, I read a compelling story about a woman who had worked in corporate sales for years, and time and again she was unfairly passed over for promotion. So, after 25 years, she decided to resign and with the life lessons she learned, she was going to write a book on how to run a good company. Then, she had an idea: “Instead of writing a book, wouldn’t it be great if someone actually ran that sort of dream company?”

At the age of 48, this newly widowed woman, with $5,000, started her business. Many people forecasted that she would fail, but she never wavered or paid attention to the negative predictions. Instead, the woman followed her own heart and with strong character, pressed forward past the boundaries. Believing God was her guide, she began her company with this principle: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” She also taught others to follow her example of putting God first, your family second and business third.

Life had a bigger plan for Mary Kay Ash and indeed, God guided her to greater accomplishments, joys, and successes; and her company provided opportunities for millions of people to lead better lives. Mary Kay Cosmetics became an international success story. No matter what you have been through, keep persisting as life has a bigger plan for you, too.

Thus, if you are in a challenge today, don’t let one, two or even a dozen setbacks ruin your entire life. There’s still another goal for you to reach. There is a mountain for you to climb and conquer. And you have many more victories to win. Paraphrasing a quote that I heard in the movie Rocky Balboa, “It is not about how hard you get hit, it is about how much you can take and still keep moving forward.”

For, extraordinary feats have been accomplished by those who kept persisting when it looked as if there were no hope at all. I know that describes you!

Therefore, I say, “Get up!” “Advance ahead,” “Rise

above that obstacle,” “Follow your own path,” and “Accomplish your dreams.” It is the small steps that you take each day that will help you surmount those big stumbling blocks. You can triumph over whatever obstacle you face and go on to something greater.

A literary agent told me that she sent her author’s manuscript to 35 different publishers and they all rejected it. “We decline, as we have seen this sort of work before,” one wrote. “No, his platform is not large enough for us,” emailed another. “It’s good, but not good enough,” the agent heard time and again.

Most people would have given up with the ongoing of rejections. But this agent was determined to get her author’s novel sold, for she believed in him and his excellent work. The 36th publisher she sent the manuscript to accepted the project enthusiastically. A year and a half later, the book was launched, with many positive reviews. However, what was so remarkable was after all of those past rejections, that novel made the bestseller list!

Keep striving. Blessings can come from the most unexpected places.
