Seeking vendors

Syracuse — After tremendous success at the first ten IGNITE Catholic Men’s Conferences in Syracuse, NY, they are planning on reaching 1,000 men in attendance at this full-day event to be held at the SRC Arena. Last year, men attended from Syracuse, Buffalo, Rochester, Ogdensburg, Albany and Binghamton.

They are looking for vendors to participate in their event.

Lakeside Farmers Market

Bridgeport — The Lakeside Farmers Market, a collaboration of Bridgeport United Methodist Church and the community, is every Thursday from 3-7 p.m., rain or shine. Fresh produce, honey, eggs, and more is available, as well as baked goods or a cooked chicken for supper. The market is located at 377 Route 31 in Bridgeport.

Church pantry moved

Morrisville — The Morrisville

Community Church Food Pantry has moved from the Cornell Cooperative Building, 100 Eaton St., Morrisville, to the lower level of the Morrisville Community Church, located at 3824 Swamp Road, Morrisville. New hours of operation are Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to noon, and the first Saturday of each month from 10 a.m. to noon. Food is available outside of normal hours during emergencies. Bible study

Munnsville — The Stockbridge United Methodist Church is offering a six session Lenten Group Bible Study leading up to Easter Sunday. The Presentation, “Living the Story of Christ’s Last Days” , by Rob Fuquay, will follow the biblical story of the Passion right up to Christ’s death on the cross. Each session will begin with a prayer and DVD presentation and will be followed with a Scripture Lesson and a time for a group discussion. The Group Study will begin at noon, Sunday, March 1, 2020 at the Stockbridge United Methodist Church, 5567 West Road, Munnsville, NY 13409, and will continue each Sunday through Palm Sunday, April 5, 2020. Each One (1) Hour session will begin at noon after our Sunday Worship. Registration for the study is free and open to all. Because participant books will need to be ordered for this study, the Registration cut-off date will be February 16th. Friendship Inn open each Thursday

MORRISVILLE — Friendship Inn at St. Joan of Arc Church offers a free weekly meal to the Morrisville community every Thursday beginning at 5 p.m. Non-denominational and open to all, regardless of financial need, Friendship Inn draws on a small army of volunteers who fulfill numerous tasks, from set-up, cooking, serving, to clean-up. Volunteers are always needed. Donations are welcome as well to supplement food offerings and to purchase equipment and supplies. Clothing donations accepted

ONEIDA — St. John’s Episcopal Church, 341 Main St., has been chosen by St. Pauly Textile, Inc. as a repository for used clothing. St. Pauly’s mission is to provide wearable clothing to people who need it, both in the United States and Third World countries. Items that can be collected include clothing, shoes, sneakers, belts, purses, linens, blankets, curtains and stuffed toys. No rags or fabric scraps, pillows, toys or household goods are accepted. Donations are not cut up or shredded. Items should be placed in plastic bags (no larger than 13 gal. size) and placed in the chute of the shed located on St. John’s driveway. Donations are acceptable any time of the day or night.

This mission has provided more than 30 million garments to people all over the world who are in need.

Support for parents

Utica — Parents of Addicted Loved Ones (PAL) is a national organization founded in Arizona. The group will be led by Michelle Holliday, who has been trained by PAL. Some of the topics covered are: addiction cycle, traits and behaviors, delayed emotional growth, role of family and enabling behaviors.
