DOLORES J. “DEE” TUBBS

SHERRILL- Dolores J. “Dee” Tubbs, 82, of West Noyes Boulevard, passed away peacefully on Jan. 9, 2021, in the Oneida Healthcare Center, with her children by her side. Born in Rome on Feb. 1, 1938, she was the daughter of Theodore and Gladys Owens Caldwell. A lifelong resident of the area, Dee was a graduate of Oneida High School, Class of 1956. She married Donald W. “Tub-z” Tubbs in Oneida on July 7, 1956. He died on Feb. 25, 2010. Dee was primarily a homemaker and was a fabulous mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church where she was active with the choir. Surviving are: two daughters, Tami (Jay) Gagen of Sherrill and Dhina and Darto Sayogyo of Indonesia; two sons, Terry (Lisa) Tubbs of Oneida Castle and Thomas T. (Kelly) Tubbs of Vernon; four grandchildren, Jeff Read, Sara Tubbs, Mark Tubbs and Laura Tubbs; two great-grandchildren, Ciara Read and Kye Read; a very special friend, Jack Wallace and several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express a special thank you to Oneida Healthcare’s doctors and staff for their excellent and compassionate care shown to Dee. Services will be private at the convenience of the family with interment being made in Oneida Castle Cemetery.
