Richard (Dick) Stanley Warner, 86, peacefully went to be with his Savior, surrounded by his loving family on January 20, 2021. Richard was born to Stanley N Warner and Myrtilla Elmina Camenga Warner on December 26, 1934. He was predecease­d by his brother Alva Warner. He is survived by his brothers, Wm. Garth (Mayola), Maurice (Dorothy), and Glen (Nancy) and his sister-in-law, Lois Agne. He was raised on the family farm, graduated from Vernon Verona Sherrill High School in 1953 and continued the family tradition with his own farm in Churchvill­e. He married the love of his life Ruth (Agne) Warner in August 1956 and raised 3 children. Richard was predecease­d by Ruth, his wife of 49 years in 2005. He leaves behind his cherished children and their families:

Lynne Marie, married to Michael Stocker, son, Sean Michael (Isabel) and their children Ethan, Alaina, Natalia, and Anthony; daughter, Katrina Lynne Domes (Eric); daughter, Sarah Ann O’gorman (Ryan) and their son, Granger.

Debra Jeanne, married to Christophe­r Crane, daughter, Jennifer Ann Dickson (Nick) and their children, Savannah, and Taylor; daughter, Elizabeth Ann Schiavi (Matt).

Eric Lee Warner married to Deborah (Gunuskey), son, Richard Charles, daughter, Kimberly Anne Johnson, and her daughter, Ellie.

Richard was united in marriage to Dixie Crouse Inabnit in 2007.

After farming, he also reached out to his farm friends through the radio as he hosted a morning farm show on WIBX. After many other endeavors, he again reached for the dream of owning his own business. In 1974 he opened Chuckery Tire and Equipment, in Clinton, NY. He served his fellow farmers through that business. In 1985 Warner Sales & Service was opened in Rome to continue his venture with Lynne and Eric. He semi-retired from working around 2000. Anyone who knew him would know that he could never be without something to do.

Church and his faith were a very integral part of his life. He shared this faith with his children, Grandchild­ren and Great Grandchild­ren. He spent much of his time after retiring working as a deacon and trustee of the churches he attended. Calling hours are Wednesday January 27, 2021 from 4-7pm at Strong- Burns & Sprock Funeral Home, 7751 Merrick Rd, Rome, NY. Friends and family are welcome to come and show condolence­s and are asked to wear masks and adhere to social distancing. Private funeral service for family will be on Thursday. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery in the spring. Arrangemen­ts have been entrusted to Prince-boyd & Hyatt Home For Funerals, Inc.
