Lincoln man charged with manslaughter
ONEIDA, N.Y. » Following a lengthy investigation into a fatal motor vehicle crash that occurred on April 12, 2020, on Forest Avenue, the Oneida City Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division (CID) arrested Allen E. Milliman, 28, of the Town of Lincoln, for his alleged involvement in that incident, according to officials.
On Wednesday, January 20, 2021, Milliman was reportedly arrested by investigators and was charged with:
• Manslaughter in the Second Degree, a Class C Felony
• Vehicular Manslaughter in the Second Degree, a Class D Felony (2 counts)
• Criminal Negligent Homicide, a Class E Felony
• Driving while intoxicated, an unclassified Vehicle and Traffic Law Misdemeanor
• Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the Third Degree, an unclassified Vehicle and Traffic Law Misdemeanor
• Reckless Driving, an unclassified Vehicle and Traffic Law Misdemeanor
• Speed not reasonable and prudent, an infraction of the Vehicle and Traffic Law
Milliman was arraigned before the Oneida City Court on the charges and was remanded to the Madison County Jail on $1,000 cash bail, $2,000 insurance bond, or $10,000 partially secured bond, according to the City of Oneida Police Department.
Milliman is scheduled to reappear before the courts at a later date and time.
The City of Oneida Police Department states that all crimes described in the press release are allegations, and suspects named are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
