ONEIDA- Michelle “Mickey” Redmond, 64, of Oneida, has nished God’s work here on January 27, 2021 after a short battle with lung cancer. She was born in 1956 in Rome, NY to Gerald and Norma (Brooks) Redmond Jr. She graduated from Westmorela­nd High School in 1974. Mickey had many jobs but her favorites were as a teacher at OADCC in Oneida, as an aide with RCIL, and as an assistant at LARK Contractin­g. She had an artistic gift and expressed it daily with oil painting, cake decorating, and crafts. She always said her biggest success in life were her two daughters and her greatest joy were her two grandchild­ren. She left her mark with her talent, love, and infectious laughter. She leaves behind two daughters, Alicia (Matthew) Toomath and Jessica (George) Dempsey; two grandchild­ren, Reagan and Jackson Toomath; one brother, Gerald (Sandra) Redmond, III; and four sisters who she always said were her best friends, Andrea (Michael) Lawrence, Kimberly Tamburino, Jamie Redmond, and Rhonda Redmond; and several beloved cousins, nieces and nephews. There will be a celebratio­n life at a later date There are no calling hours or funeral services. In lieu of owers please donate to Hospice of New Hartford or the Abraham House of Rome, whom the family thanks whole-heartedly for their care.
