CHITTENANGO- Charles “Charlie” Seeber, 92, of Chittenango passed away Monday at the Oneida Extended Care Facility. Born in Canastota, Charlie was a life resident of the Canastota-chittenango area. Charlie was employed at Die Molding in Canastota for 44 years retiring in 1990. He was also employed from 1968-1978 as a part time Chittenango police ofcer. Charlie was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean War. He was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Church in Chittenango. Charlie was a life member of the Oneida Moose Club and a past member of the Chittenango Volunteer Fire Department. He was predeceased by his wife Marjorie in 2016 and his brothers, Francis, William and Everett. He is survived by his sons, Charles Seeber Jr. (Sue) of Fenner and Edward Schmidtka (Karen) of Clay, his daughter, Jo Ann Mcgowan (John) of Chittenango, his brother Thomas of Canastota, his sisters, Shirley Grifth of Texas and Sharon Richmond of Oneida, 6 grandchildren, 12 greatgrandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christina Burial will be celebrated 10:00 am Tuesday, February, 16, 2021 at St. Patrick’s Church, Chittenango. Spring burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Chittenango. There are no calling hours. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Chittenango Volunteer Fire Department or St. Patrick’s Church.
