EDWARD J. MORRIS, JR.

Edward W. Morris, Jr., 53, of 4150 Strutz Rd., Canastota, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 8, 2021, at University Hospital in Syracuse after being admitted as a patient on April 4, 2021.

He was born on June 1, 1967, in Oneida, the son of Edward W. and Beverly Perry Morris, Sr. He was a graduate of Canastota High School, Class of 1986.

Ed lived in San Antonio, Texas for several years. While he was living in San Antonio, he was employed as an executive for AETNA Insurance Co.

Ed was a member of The Vineyard Church in Westcott. He was heavily involved in NA as a sponsor. He had worked very hard and was personally proud of beating his demons of addiction. Surviving are his mother, Beverly A. Jones, of Canastota; two brothers, Dustin (Danielle) Jones, of New Hartford, Trevor (Melody) Morris, of Canastota; several nieces and nephews; and his friends, Darren Laplante, Roland Hicks, Abdul Vohid, and Marco Noriega and his mother. Ed was predeceased by his father; his stepfather, Steven Jones; and his two sisters, Shana Lynn Jones, and Cheryl Lee Jones.
