The NY Auto Show brings out the best, and of course EV

- By Marc Grasso

NEW YORK » After 2 years of Covid-19-related cancellations, the New York International Auto Show is back.

From April 15-24, consumers finally get to experience firsthand their favorite and futuristic vehicles that manufacturers have to offer. In a real “priceinflated” year, clearly, pricing is top of conversation for consumers while manufacturers continue to cringe. With over 150 vehicles slated on the docket from more than 25 manufacturers, consumers get the opportunity to ask questions to public relations staff, engineers and even influential design staff.

Enjoy sitting in vehicles, experiencing hands-on usability, while enjoying what the 122nd New York International Auto Show has to offer.

Did we mention the 250,000 square feet of indoor EV fun?

Enjoy the first floor, EV Test Fest from Chevrolet, Kia, Nissan and Volvo and sign up to drive them on the indoor track. Ford and Hyundai will incorporate EV test tracks into their own displays on the main floor while others have a dedicated floor just for EV.

“Today, we see a future that is electric and the New York Auto Show is once again at the leading edge of the process by which potential car buyers come to understand, desire, and ultimately purchase, the incredible products that the automobile industry has to offer,” said Mark Schienberg, New York Auto Show President.

While enjoying three floors of fan-fare, Toyota’s driving experience to Hyundai’s on-site exhibit and track as well as Jeep’s outdoor obstacles. If exotics are your cup of tea, the NYIAS showcases supercars and hypercars as well as one-of-a-kind vehicles on display from Koenigsegg, Lamborghini, Rolls-royce and a host of others.

In our exclusive interview with Lamborghini CEO Stephen Winklemann, it was a great discussion regarding power and design.

“For Lamborghini, our future focus is redesigning current models, developing electric vehicles and rolling out hybrid models to our consumers. With design importance remaining top of mind, exclusivity in our models and personalization for our customers is of equal importance. Our brand recognition has and always will be what separates Lamborghini from the rest.” mentioned Winklemann.

With all of the vehicle craze out there and the continued demand for new vehicles, check out the auto show and enjoy some of the vehicles we have reviewed this year already, like the redesigned Grand Cherokee from Jeep or even the Genesis GV70. What about the newly released Jeep Grand Wagoneer L, or Ford Bronco Raptor? Did we mention the Chrysler Airflow?

Yes, they will be on-site as well as a slew of other new releases.
