Canastota / Lenox Seniors group meets every 3rd Thursday of the month at 1:30pm at the VFW on Canal Street. The next mtg. Will be on 4/21/22 at 1:30pm. Trips still available this season for a luncheon & performance of “A Tribute to John Denver”, Lobsterfest / Prime Rib & performance of “Doo Wop review”, A Mystery trip, An educational trip to two NYS museums including a luncheon / country music performance, 6 days 5 nights trip to “The Ark Encounter” In Kentucky, and a two day trip to Sight and Sound to see the performance of “David”. Those looking to join our group for social time, listen to special guest speakers of local and educational interest, or just time out for an afternoon, are welcome. Membership is $5 a year. Budget Meeting: The Canastota Public Library Board of Trustees will hold an informational meeting about the fiscal year 20222023 Budget on Thursday, April 21 at 6:30 p.m. The budget will remain the same as last year at $334,822. According to library officials, pursuant to New York State Education Law #259, the library has a perpetual levy until the budget amount is changed. The budget hearing will be held in the Carnegie Room located on the 2nd floor of the library and questions will be answered at that time. Copies of the budget are available at the main desk of the library or the business office of the Roberts Street School.
