Police probe St. Andrew’s to see if laws were broken

BOCA RATON — Police are probing whether St. Andrew’s School violated state law by failing to tell authoritie­s in 2014 about a reported sexual assault of a 15-year-old student on its campus.

The re-examinatio­n of the case comes after The Palm Beach Post reported Wednesday that the private school never contacted authoritie­s when a freshman boarding student told administra­tors that The Post was the first to investigat­e reports of sex abuse at St. Andrew’s School. It was also the first to obtain and write about the investigat­ion.
