Trump: Fla. vote is in ‘good shape’
But GOP candidate still insists election system is ‘rigged.’
Despite hi s claims of a “rigged system” nationally, Donald Trump told The Palm Beach Post on Monday he thinks Florida’s election system is “in pretty good shape.”
On the first day of early voting in the crucial Sunshine State, part-time Palm Beach resident Trump visited Bedner’s Farm Fresh Market west of Boynton Beach, where he predicted a Florida victory and told a gathering of about 100 growers and others to ignore “phony polls” that show Democrat Hillary Clinton winning.
Trump then spoke briefly t o T h e P a l m B e a c h Po s t before heading to rallies in St. Augustine and Tampa. Trump, who campaigned in Naples on Sunday, wraps up a three-day Florida swing today by visiting Cuban exiles in Miami, then attending rallies in Sanford and Tallahassee.
Florida Republican Gov. Rick Scott, who is chairman of a pro-Trump super PAC, appoints Florida’s secretary of state, who oversees the Division of Elections.
In his Palm Beach Post interview, Trump was asked whether he’s confident that the election in Florida will be fair.
“Well, I hope so. I think s o, a n d I h o p e s o, a n d I believe Florida is in pretty good shape. I think a lot of other places in the country certainly aren’t,” Trump said.

The announcement comes as the state tries to establish for the first time a regulatory authority over professional guardians.
L abarga said few deci sions are more challenging to a judge than removing a person’s rights because he or she is no longer capable of making decisions independently.
The Palm Beach Post, Labarga’s hometown newspaper, has reported extensively on guardianship, particularly how one judge and his wife benefited from it in the series Guardianships:
