Three parent-student information sessions will be held in Palm Beach County beginning this week to discuss the Orange Bowl Florida High School Football Showcase.

The event, which will be held Feb. 25, 2017, at Nova Southeastern University in Davie, brings together academically qualifified high school seniors from Florida and football coaches from NCAA Division II, III and programs across the country.

It provides an opportunity for young student-athletes to use their athletic and academic skills to earn collegiate scholarships, and ultimately a college degree.

Student-athletes eligible for participation must be graduating high school seniors who have not accepted a scholarship offffer from an NCAA Division I (Football Bowl Subdivision and Football Championship Subdivision) program.

Participants must meet academic qualififications.

All information sessions will cover academic requirements, registration and what to expect, as well as answer any questions. Parents are encouraged to pre-register at community.orangebowl.org. Here’s the schedule: 6:30 tonight: Palm Beach Gardens High School

He has averaged 17.2 points during that span, and has shot 54 percent. He also has averaged 6.2 assists, 3.2 rebounds and 2.3 steals.
