Man accused of sexual assault outside nightclub
Minneapolis man had been deported to Honduras in 2014.
A Mi n n e a p o l i s man i s b e i n g h e l d i n t h e P a l m Beach County Jail after he allegedly sexually assaulted a woman outside a nightclub near West Palm Beach where she worked, according to an arrest report.
Jose Casto Flores Redondo i s f a c i n g s e v e r a l f e l o ny charges including sexual assault, aggravated assault a n d k i d n a p p i n g , a n d i s b e i n g h e l d i n t h e P a l m Beach County Jail in lieu of $48,000 bail.
The arrest report states t h a t Re d o n d o , 3 0, w a s deported to Honduras from Mi n n e s o t a i n 2 014 a f t e r “battering” the woman he allegedly sexually assaulted.
The report also says that Redondo came to Florida about one week ago, but does not detail how he re-entered the U.S.
The alleged vic tim was driven to work Friday at the nightclub on North Congress Avenue with Redondo accompanying her.
Redondo st ayed at the club until 5 a.m. when the 26-year-old woman fifinished her shift, the report said.
Redondo allegedly began yelling at the woman to leave with him, but she refused to do so. Redondo pulled out a 5-inch pocket knife and forced the woman to go with him, the report said.
The woman was forced into a car while Redondo allegedly choked her. When she refused to engage in sex, Redondo allegedly punched her in the face several times and slammed her head into the dashboard and front passenger window.
The victim managed to get out of the car and ran to a security guard. Redondo chased the woman, grabbed her and attempted to pull her back into the vehicle before other security guards came to assist the woman, the report said.
The Palm Beach County S h e r i f f ’s Of f i c e s a i d t h e woman sustained swelling to her left eye and scratches and marks to her neck and back.
