Will reality star Glanville’s new show reignite feud with Rimes?

- By Emily Yahr Washington Post

Did you think that just because Brandi Glanville recently wished her nemesis LeAnn Rimes a “happy anniversary” on Twitter, and they had a perfectly pleasant exchange, one of the most contentious celebrity feuds of our time would end?

Not so much! If you’ve missed the past seven years of headlines, Rimes (the country star) and Eddie Cibrian (the actor) cheated on their respec tive spouses while filming a Lifetime movie to gether in 2 009. Rimes subsequently left her husband, Dean Sheremet, and Cibrian divorced Glanville, with whom he has two kids. Rimes and Cibrian got married; Glanville landed a spot on “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills”; and they have publicly argued about the split ever since.

It was a rather explosive scandal that has refused to die — partly because the peo- ple involved never stop talking about it. And the endless tradition will continue at 9 p.m. ET on Thursdays (the show premiered Jan. 12), when Glanville and Sheremet team up on Fox’s new cooking competition series, “My Kitchen Rules.”

Are they getting back at their exes for that short-lived 2014 VH1 reality show “LeAnn and Eddie,” where the couple talked about the controversy surrounding their marriage? Or do they just really like to cook — and be on television?

Either way, they appear to enjoy talking about the dramatic circumstances that led them here. “My Kitchen Rules,” based on an Australian series, pits fifive “celebrity” duos against one another to throw a dinner party; judges vote on which one is best.
