Wake Forest forward Collins is coming offff standout season.
Wake Forest forward John Collins has changed his mind about retaining his college eligibility.
The former Cardinal Newman standout has decided to hire an agent and will enter the NBA draft, he announced via Twitter on Wednesday night.
“After long conversation with my family, I have decided to enter the NBA draft and also hire an agent. I would like to (thank) everyone at Wake Forest that was instrumental in my progression to the young man I am today. I will always bleed black and gold and do my best to represent the university in the most positive way possible. #GoDeacs”
Collins i s coming off a standout sophomore season in which he averaged 19.2 points and 9.8 rebounds. He was runner-up in voting for ACC Player of the Year and also was a fifirst- team All-ACC selection.
