Armed man threatens woman

PALM SPRINGS — A woman had parked her car in his driveway, and Todd Kirby was having none of that, Palm Beach County Sheriff ’s Office records indicate.

Gun in hand, the 57-yearold man reportedly stormed toward the woman — who h a d a l r e a d y move d h e r car — Friday evening in a neighborho­od west of Palm Springs, according to sheriff ’s records.

The woman told sheriff ’s officials she’d accidental­ly parked her car in Kirby ’s driveway on Holiday Circle South, north of Forest Hill Boulevard, thinking it was a friend’s. Kirby walked out of the home and screamed at the woman to move the car, which she did, the woman told officials.

The woman parked in front of her friend’s home and joined the get-together in the front yard. Kirby walked back into his home.

He r e t u r n e d , t h o u g h , gun in hand, threatenin­g the woman as he trudged toward her, she said.

The woman was too afraid to move. She thought she was going to be killed.

A witness told sheriff ’s officials Kirby threatened to kill them. Kirby reportedly left and returned to his neighbor’s home, the second time with a long, rifle-looking gun.

A neighbor took pictures of the confrontat­ion, which were sent to sheriff ’s officials, records state.

Officials searched Kirby’s home and found a BB gun, as well as two long gun cases secured in a cabinet.

Kirby faces ag gravated assault with a deadly weapon charges. He was released Saturday from the Palm Beach Count y Jail on a $10,000 surety bond.
