PHOTO SUMMER CAMP ON TAP
Kids aged 10-17 have choice of two-week sessions this summer.
Palm Beach Photographic Centre will host three FOTOc amp for Kids sessions this summer.
“FOTOcamp is for anyone between the ages of 10 and 17 that has an interest in photography and/or computers, and who is inquisitive and likes adventure,” said Fatima NeJame, president and CEO of the center at 415 Clematis St. “It is the perfect opportunity for youngsters and teens to gain knowledge in all areas of photography, beginning with the basics of picture-taking using SLR digital cameras and progressing to state-of the-art digital imaging, at each participant’s own rate of speed.”
The two-week sessions run from July 12-23, Aug. 10-21, and Aug. 24-Sept. 4, all from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Students are grouped by experience, from beginner to advanced. Students are issued digital SLR cameras and while exploring lens choices, lighting, and composition of photographs, they will learn about photography and digital imaging.
All sessions will include a professional instructor and assistant, with opportunities for both individualized and group critiques for each student.
The price is $745 for Photo Centre members, $795 for nonmembers. To register, call 561253-2600 or visit www.workshop.org.
