Kids aged 10-17 have choice of two-week sessions this summer.

Palm Beach Photograph­ic Centre will host three FOTOc amp for Kids sessions this summer.

“FOTOcamp is for anyone between the ages of 10 and 17 that has an interest in photograph­y and/or computers, and who is inquisitiv­e and likes adventure,” said Fatima NeJame, president and CEO of the center at 415 Clematis St. “It is the perfect opportunit­y for youngsters and teens to gain knowledge in all areas of photograph­y, beginning with the basics of picture-taking using SLR digital cameras and progressin­g to state-of the-art digital imaging, at each participan­t’s own rate of speed.”

The two-week sessions run from July 12-23, Aug. 10-21, and Aug. 24-Sept. 4, all from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Students are grouped by experience, from beginner to advanced. Students are issued digital SLR cameras and while exploring lens choices, lighting, and compositio­n of photograph­s, they will learn about photograph­y and digital imaging.

All sessions will include a profession­al instructor and assistant, with opportunit­ies for both individual­ized and group critiques for each student.
