Woman grabs ax after spotting dating website on man’s computer

GREENACRES — Enraged from seeing the dating website Match.com on a man’s computer last week, Lucy Melesky reportedly grabbed a mounted ax off the mantel and smashed it on the ground.

When sheriffff ’s deputies arrived at the home, Melesky was speeding off in a car, records state. Authorities pulled her over at a gas st ation about a half mile from where she told them she lived.

Melesky was convinced the man was trying to meet other women through Match.com, the man told authorities.

The man ran to a bathroom after Melesky grabbed the ax, but the woman followed, he said. She reportedly pushed him into a bathtub, held him down and shoved her cellphone in his face, displaying messages she’d reportedly found on the dating site between the man and a woman.

Melesky was released last week from the Palm Beach County Jail under supervision. A judge ordered Melesky not consume either alcoh o l o r i l l e g a l d r u g s a n d undergo random testing. She cannot possess weapons nor can she have contact with the man, except by phone.
