Police: Teen threatens family with assault riflfle

A Delray Beach teenager reportedly pointed an AK-47style riflfle at multiple people outside a Wellington medical center, then ran over one of the men’s legs, Palm Beach County sheriffff ’s deputies say.

Eddy Alexandre, 19, met with a family the evening of April 28 at Premier Family Health Center on State Road 7. A woman with whom he was in a relationsh­ip had a doctor’s appointmen­t, her family told sheriffff ’s authoritie­s.

After the appointmen­t, Alexandre and the woman’s uncles began to argue, r e c o rd s s h ow. T h e t e e n reportedly pushed one of the woman’s relatives, then warned that he’d “take care of this,” deputies said.

He walked to hi s c a r ’s trunk, pulled out an AK-47st yle riflfle, and threatened to shoot them, the family told deputies.

The family ran to hide. The woman’s father hid in front of Alexandre’s car but didn’t move fast enough to avoid Alexandre stepping on the gas.

Alexandre ran over the man’s leg deputies said. He then jumped on Alexandre’s hood to avoid being hit again and was thrown when Alexandre drove around a roundabout.

Alexandre was arrested two days later at his Delray Beach home on fifive counts of aggravated assault with a fifirearm, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and simple battery.

He has pleaded not guilty. Alexandre is being held in the Palm Beach County Jail on $151,000 bail.
