G A I N E SV I L L E — F l o r i d a receiver Antonio Callaway was cited for possession of marijuana after a traffic stop in Gainesville on May 13.

Callaway had 7 grams of marijuana in his pants, and an additional 5.4 grams were found in his vehicle at the time of the stop, according to a police report obtained by SEC Country. The traffic stop was originated by the Gainesville Police Department for an alleged seat belt violation.

The police records indicate that both Callaway and Kendrick Williams, a 40-year-old male who was also in the vehicle, claimed ownership of the drugs. There is a court date for the offense set for June 6 at the Alachua County Criminal Courthouse.

This is not Callaway’s first brush with the law, as he was named in a Title IX lawsuit last year in an alleged sexual assault case. He was ultimately found not responsible in that case, though during the proceedings on that case he did admit using marijuana. Callaway and his accuser both admitted he was high on marijuana during the incident, but Calloway indicated he had no interest in sexual contact and named his accuser as the aggressor.

“I was so stoned, I had no interested in having sex with anyone,” Callaway stated, according to the hear ing report.

The junior wideout caught 54 passes for 721 yards and three touchdowns last season. He has 1,399 yards receiving in his two-year Gators career.

Tebow surprises prom date: Tim Tebow, the former Gators star-turned-minor league baseball player, made an appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Wednesday. During the interview, Tebow spoke of his annual “Night to Shine” event that helps kids with special needs enjoy a night of dressing up and dancing.

The Heisman Trophy winner also revealed to Fallon that he had never attended a prom of his own, and that the evening is his “favorite night of the year.”

In what was a clear setup for a girl named Judy, Fallon offered Tebow a corsage as the Columbia Fireflies outfielder told the story of how she asked him to the “Night to Shine” event in New York, but he had to decline due to travel constraints.

Now that he was in New York for “The Tonight Show,” Tebow was able to get Judy into the audience. And as you may have guessed, Tebow was there to ask her to a dance on national television.
