A West Palm Beach woman is accused of stabbing her ex-girlfriend twice after discovering she has a new girlfriend, city police said.

Iesha Williams, 25, was arrested Friday with charges of attempted first-degree murder with a deadly weapon and tampering with the victim, according to a recently released police report. Her bond was set at $100,000 in total, and she remained in the Palm Beach County Jail on Wednesday morning, according to online jail records.

On May 24, Williams was with her ex-girlfriend at that woman’s residence on North Australian Avenue, the report said. The ex-girlfriend told police that the two had dated for about 11 months in the past and started to see each other again for the past two to three weeks. They don’t live together but spend the night together often, according to the report.

Police say late that day, the ex-girlfriend’s current girlfriend arrived unannounced. Williams became upset and demanded that her ex-girlfriend drive her to her home at East 20th Street. The ex-girlfriend told police she agreed but that Williams became furious and started punching her in the face.

The ex-girlfriend told police that she dropped Williams off at her house and that she ran inside.

The ex-girlfriend started to drive back home, but Williams called her minutes later and told her to come back and get “your stuff,” which would be in the middle of the road, the report said. So she said she drove back, and when she got out of her vehicle, Williams walked up to her and “without hesitation” stabbed her in the forehead with a knife and again in her left shoulder, according to the police report.

The ex-girlfriend tried to run back to her car to grab her cellphone as she started to bleed, but Williams took it from her before she could call 911, the report said. The ex- girlfriend removed her shirt and wrapped it around her shoulder to stanch the bleeding. She said she then ran down the street and asked two men to call 911. Williams fled.

The woman described the knife to police as 3 to 4 inches long with a sliver and gray handle.
