Credibility of office is what Trump and pals have drained
So let me see if I’ve got this straight. Kris Kobach, vice chairman of the Presidential Commission on Voter Integrity that was created by Donald Trump, sent a letter to all secretaries of state in which he requested voter information claimed to be “publicly available.” Then, as Kansas secretary of state, he refused to provide that information
(to himself ) because it includes personal data that is not publicly available.
And because Trump’s fragile ego and massive narcissism won’t allow him to accept that he lost the popular vote, taxpayers’ money is being wasted to chase down the names of a few dead people who may still be on voter rolls but did not affect the election results in any way?
That gurgling sound we hear is not the swamp draining. It’s the credibility and dignity of the presidency of the United States circling the bowl. Rights.
For this to occur on the Fourth of July holiday, a sacred date honoring my freedom as a citizen of the USA, it is almost unthinkable that my voting information is being invaded by this repugnant onslaught.
The request by an appointee of Trump is all too reminiscent of the Hitler regime of 1930s Germany. It is so disheartening to think that I am old enough to live through two such assaults on my privileges and freedoms in one lifetime.
