Don’t squander our Dreamers investment
As a retired teacher, I know from experience that immigrant children are, by and large, outstanding students. They and their parents value education and work hard to improve themselves by learning all they can.
As taxpayers, we have already invested in these dreamers; we’ve given them an excellent public education, provided libraries, transportation, police protection. They speak perfect English, have an incredible work ethic and have a real appreciation for all that America has to offer.
Why in heaven’s name would we deport those we have nourished and encouraged? The American public education system was originally designed to, among other things, turn immigrants into citizens. Why would we undermine our best efforts by rejecting these young people? It makes no sense. wage, North Korea, Afghanistan, even health care — is as important.

■ Next, a national organization, with local chapters, with equally committed supporters to focus attention and develop and implement projects.
■ This program will require billions of dollars. The money will have to come from both the public sector and private investors.
■ We need a national campaign, documenting the need and following up with articles showing their progress.

This was specifically incorporated to negate the English common law, which allowed the royal family to punish the entire family of anyone who attempted to subvert the crown.
Both the attorney general and the current administration are prepared to legally punish the children of immigrants here illegally, who, by no fault of their own, were brought to the United States as minors.
If the consequences of treason could not be bequeathed to the family of a traitor, how can it be justifiable to hold children guilty of their parents’ actions and deport them?
