Tickets available for Heat scrimmage

Admission only $1 to get look at team Saturday at FAU.

BOCA RATON — Florida Atlantic University is the place to be if you want an early glimpse of this season’s Heat team.

The Heat will hold their “Red, White & Pink” Game at 11 a.m. Saturday at FAU Arena, with doors set to open at 10 a.m. The scrimmage is open to the public and tickets can be bought using the Miami Heat App, Ticketmast­er.com or the Ticketmast­er App for $1, with proceeds benefiting Miami Cancer Institute.

There is an eight-ticket maximum per transactio­n. Tickets went on sale Tuesday. There is no charge for parking.

The scrimmage will be structured like a regular NBA game, with four quarters and a halftime, and will also feature many elements of Heat home games with performanc­es by the Heat Dancers, Burnie and the Xtreme Team.

This is the fourth consecutiv­e year the Heat have incorporat­ed the color pink into their scrimmage in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Players will be wearing a special edition Red, White & Pink jersey.

The scrimmage will mark the end of the Heat’s five-day training camp at FAU. Leading up to Saturday, Miami will go through two-a-day practice sessions through Friday, that will be closed to the public.

The Heat will open their six-game preseason schedule with a game against the Atlanta Hawks at 6 p.m. Sunday at AmericanAi­rlines Arena.
