Hospice Foundation of Palm Beach County is now Palm Beach Island Hospice Foundation

-

At the last meeting of the Board of Trustees, Mark Cook, president of the Hospice Foundation Membership Board, revealed the name change and new logo for Palm Beach Island Hospice Foundation.

“Although we have changed the name of the foundation to clarify our location, the mission is the same: To provide resources for programs that support end of life care for patients and their families,” Cook said.

For more than 30 years the foundation has been dedicated to the support of Hospice of Palm Beach County. Each year, the foundation hosts “Hospice Evening,” inviting friends and supporters to celebrate its mission and to help raise money. In 2015, the Palm Beach Island Hospice Foundation challenged itself to fund the renovation of its original project, the Charles W. Gerstenberg Hospice Center, a place where patients and their families could receive end of life care.

The board committed to donate the $1.8 million required for needed renovations to ensure hospice patients and their families are given the best possible end of life care. This financial commitment has taken two years to achieve and work is underway to make this dream a reality.

Through fundraising efforts and the dedicated work of their independent volunteer group, the foundation is able to provide resources for programs that support end of life care for patients and their families. To learn more or donate, visit www.hospicepb.org or call 561-8328585.
