Nine of Palm Beach County’s luxury resorts and hotels have been named among the best in Florida by Condé Nast Traveler readers.

The travel magazine this week released the results of its annual Reader’s Choice Awards, which rank the best hotels, resorts, cities, islands, airlines, airports, and cruise lines in the world. The awards include a ranking of the top hotels and resorts in Florida.

This year, seven county oceanfront resorts and two Palm Beach hotels made the cut.

Among the county’s resort properties, the Palm Beach Marriott Singer Island Beach Resort & Spa earned the highest marks. The resort, which bills itself as the only beachfront, all-suite hotel in the county, took the fourth spot on this year’s list.

Other resorts to make this year’s list include: Jupiter Beach Resort & Spa (15th); Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa (17th); Boca Beach Club (21st); The Breakers Palm Beach (27th); Boca Raton Resort & Club (33rd); and Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach (35th).

On the hotel side, The Chesterfield Palm Beach earned the third spot, while The Brazilian Court Hotel took fifth place.

”We’re thrilled that The Palm Beaches’ first class resort properties and hotels are being recognized by Condé Nast’s readership as among the best in the state, and notable throughout the country,” said Jorge Pesquera, president and CEO for Discover The Palm Beaches, the county’s tourism marketing organization. “We’ve always loved these properties and the high-quality luxury experiences they provide. This is greater affirmation that this destination represents ‘The Best Way to Experience Florida,’ that resort guests are walking away with the same impression and took the time to vote to support the Palm Beaches’ resorts in this survey.”

This year’s awards marked the magazine’s largest list of winners. More than 300,000 readers submitted millions of ratings and tens of thousands of comments, voting on 7,320 hotels and resorts, 610 cities, 225 islands, 468 cruise ships, 158 airlines, and 195 airports, the magazine said.

The survey also found that holistic spa resorts, smaller airports and secondary cities are growing in popularity. Meanwhile, tourists are looking for “simplicity” when they travel. Instead of multi-destination trips that involve a lot of sightseeing, travelers are looking to relax and “enjoy the place,” the magazine said.
