It’s October, which means it’s fall festival time at Bedner’s Farm Fresh Market in Boynton Beach.

Eight years ago, Bedner’s Farm Fresh Market started with a festival that has become a seasonal staple, including a you-pick pumpkin patch with dozens of ripe pumpkins.

“It started eight years ago with only the pumpkin patch,” said Marie Bedner, owner. “It has grown into the corn maze, the vendors, the animals, the tours around the property and all the family activities around the 80-acre farm.”

The fall festival includes other family-fare trappings such as bounce houses, hayrides, face paintings and air cannons in addition to local vendors, food trucks and the Bedner’s Produce Market, which is always open during the event. An animal park and petting zoo also feature a variety of animals from camels and horses to lemurs.

“Our favorite part of the pumpkin patch is the corn maze, it gets better every year,” said Rachel Smith, of West Palm Beach.

“We have been coming back every year for the past three years.”

“We traveled all the way from east Fort Lauderdale for this pumpkin patch after we saw a flood of photos on our Facebook feed,” said Nikki Lesnock, who strolled through the festival on Saturday.

The fall festival closes Sunday.

The farm has two locations, one in Delray and the other in Boynton Beach, but the Boynton location is the only one that offers the fall festival.
