First Citizens Bank has promoted Scott Powers to assistant vice president, financial services manager at the company’s Palm Beach Gardens location. He has been with First Citizens since 2006 and has over 26 years of experience in banking. Powers is involved in The Lord’s Place, Metropolitan Community Church of the Palm Beaches and Compass Community Center.

Holy Cross Medical Group
announced that Daniel Gomez has joined the gynecology and obstetrics practice. He was most recently assistant professor of obstetrics and gynecology and co-director of the surgical care clerkship at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine in Tampa. He served as the OBGYN representative of the Morsani College of Medicine faculty council, taught fundamentals of gynecologic surgery and was the attending for the primary care clerkship. Gomez is an American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology diplomat, an American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology fellow and a member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists and Ingram Spellacy Society.

Brian Batchelder has joined Berger Commercial Realty as vice president of brokerage. He has more than 17 years of experience in the real estate industry. Batchelder will handle leasing assignments at the firm’s Palm Beach County office. Batchelder previously served as vice president at Stiles Realty, where he was responsible for multiple leasing and sales assignments totaling nearly one million square-feet of space. Some of his notable clients include the State of Florida, Allstate Insurance, Office Depot, Kodak, Nationwide Insurance, UAIG and Holy Cross Hospital. Prior to Stiles, Batchelder facilitated more than $200 million worth of lease and sales transactions at CBRE. He is a member of NAIOP Commercial Real Estate Development Association South Florida. Batchelder earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Florida Atlantic University and gained proficiency in Spanish at Academia Hispano Americana in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.
