Trafficking suspect gets probation on gun charge
BOYNTON BEACH — A West Palm Beach man accused in a human-trafficking operation pleaded guilty this week to a related felony gun charge, court records show.
Ja c kson Poinvil, 22, pleaded guilty Monday to carrying a concealed a concealed firearm. Prosecutors decided not to pursue charges of human trafficking and kidnapping. He was placed on five years of probation and received credit for 256 days of jail time he’d served.
Poinvil was one of three men accused in February of the kidnapping of a now 20-year-old woman from a home in Boynton Beach.
