Nick Chubb and Sony Michel led a dominant running game as No. 7 Georgia bounced back from its first loss of the season, wearing down Kentucky for a 42-13 victory Saturday in Athens, Ga.

In the final home game of their careers, Chubb and Michel went out in style on senior day.

Chubb rushed for 151 yards and two touchdowns, including a 55-yard burst down the sideline to seal the victory early in the fourth quarter. Michel had 87 yards and three scores of his own, most notably a 37-yard TD that sent the Bulldogs into the half with a 21-6 lead.

Georgia (10-1, 7-1 Southeastern Conference) returned to form after getting stuffed on the ground in a 40-17 loss to Auburn, which knocked the Bulldogs out of the top spot in the College Football Playoff standings.

Georgia finished with 381 yards rushing against the Wildcats (7-4, 4-4), averaging 8.7 yards per carry.

Jake Fromm threw an interception on Georgia’s first possession, leading to a field goal that gave Kentucky an early lead. The Bulldogs went ahead for good on Chubb’s first TD, an 8-yard run.

No. 16 Mississippi State 28, Arkansas 21: Nick Fitzgerald threw a 6-yard touchdown pass to Deddrick Thomas with 17 seconds remaining as the Bulldogs (8-3, 4-3) survived a lackluster performance and four fumbles against the Razorbacks (4-7, 1-6).

Arkansas led by a touchdown in the fourth quarter, but Fitzgerald tied it with 4:07 remaining with a 37-yard touchdown pass to Reggie Todd.

No. 20 LSU 30, Tennessee 10: Derrius Guice and Darrel Williams combined to run for 165 yards and three touchdowns as the Tigers (8-3, 5-2) spoiled interim coach Brady Hoke’s debut with the Vols (4-7, 0-7).

Guice ran 24 times for 97 yards and one touchdown to help LSU win for the fifth time in its last six games. Williams rushed for 68 yards and two touchdowns on seven carries.

No. 1 Alabama 56, Mercer 0: Jalen Hurts passed for 180 yards and three touchdowns in a little more than a quarter as the host Crimson Tide (11-0) routed the Bears (5-6).

The Crimson Tide raced to a 35-0 halftime lead in what amounted to a tuneup for the team’s biggest game — the Iron Bowl at Auburn with a berth in the SEC title game at stake.

No. 6 Auburn 42, Louisiana-Monroe 14: Darius Slayton’s 50-yard scoring catch late in the first half gave the host Tigers (9-2) the lead against the Warhawks (4-6).

Texas A&M 31, Ole Miss 24: Nick Starkel threw for 272 yards and a touchdown as the visiting Aggies (7-4, 4-3) edged the Rebels (5-6, 2-5).

The Aggies trailed 24-21 at halftime, but took a 28-24 lead in the third quarter on a pick-six by Derrick Tucker, who intercepted a Jordan Ta’amu pass and ran it back 19 yards for the touchdown.

South Carolina 31, Wofford 10: Jake Bentley ran for two touchdowns and passed for a third to lead the Gamecocks (8-3) to their 17th consecutive win over the Terriers (9-2).
