Generous philanthropists and excited foodies gathered in Palm Beach for a culinary event for a cause — Buccan’s annual Palm Beach No Kid Hungry Dinner. The heartfelt event raised more than $320,000 — to equate to 3.2 million meals — to support No Kid Hungry’s work to end childhood hunger in America. Guests were treated to a personal account of childhood hunger from Share Our Strength’s Managing Director of Development Elliott Gaskins. The exciting evening concluded with renewed commitments to eradicate hunger from our communities, along with contributions that exceeded more than $100,000 over last year.
A five-course dinner and wine pairing from Chefs Chef Clay Conley of Buccan, Dale Talde of Grandview Public Market, Aaron Brooks of EDGE Steak
& Bar, Lindsay Autry of
The Regional, Pastry Chef Janderyn Makris of Earth & Sugar, and Master Sommelier Virginia Philip of the Virginia Philip Wine Shop & Academy, was also served.
“The sixth No Kid Hungry Dinner at Buccan was an extraordinary success — raising more than $300,000 in support of our efforts to end childhood hunger in Palm Beach, the state of Florida, and across the country. Thanks to No Kid Hungry Champions like Chef Clay Conley and the generous support of Palm Beach residents, this dinner has become one of our organizations signature events,” said Gaskins. “The importance of this event to Florida and the Palm Beach community can’t be overstated. We will be able to invest critically needed funds to help ensure more kids have the food they need so that they can reach their full potential.”
