The stars were aligned when the Triangle Club held its third annual Lions of Recovery dinner at The Palm Beach Zoo & Conservation Society. Lavinia Baker, Elizabeth Matthews and Joe Considine were the co-chairmen of the event that drew more than 150 friends and supporters. The event raised $66,000, surpassing expectations to benefit The Triangle Club, which subsists solely on donations. Proceeds will help fund daily operating costs including salaries for entry-level jobs at The Triangle Club, which specializes in hiring people in early recovery.

For more than half a century, The Triangle Club in West Palm Beach has been a safe haven for recovering alcoholics and their families to meet in privacy and comfort. Open seven days a week, 365 days a year, the venue is home to more than 21 Palm Beach County-based groups that host weekly 12-step meetings serving an estimated 58,000 recovering alcoholics, along with activities and holiday events that support the recovering community. Since its founding in 1961,

The Triangle Club has played a vital role in helping support recovering alcoholics and is currently recognized as one of the leading recovery clubhouses in the U.S.

The Triangle Club also utilizes its commercial kitchen during non-meeting hours to provide thousands of meals every month for the Meals on Wheels of the Palm Beaches program, for its volunteers to deliver to the elderly in need.
