■ No. 4 Michigan State 63, No. 9 North Carolina 45: Joshua Langford made five 3-pointers and scored 23 points as the Spartans (5-1) toppled the Tar Heels

(5-1) to win the “Victory Bracket” of the PK80 Invitation­al in Portland, Ore. The Tar Heels shot just 24.6 percent, the worstshoot­ing game in North Carolina history, and finished with more turnovers (16) than field goals (15). North Carolina was 1 of 18 on 3-point attempts, also the worst in school history. Joel Berry II’s desperatio­n flip at the halftime buzzer was the Tar Heels’ only 3-pointer of the night. It was Tom Izzo’s first win over Roy Williams since Williams arrived in Chapel Hill. Williams had won all seven previous matchup between the Tar Heels and Izzo’s Spartans. Theo Pinson led North Carolina with 16 points.

■ (At) No. 8 Kentucky 107, IllinoisCh­icago 73: Kevin Knox scored a careerhigh 25 points, Hamidou Diallo added a career-best 19, and the Wildcats (6-1) routed the Flames (2-3) to conclude the Adolph Rupp Classic. The win gave coach John Calipari his 700th career victory.

■ No. 16 Texas A&M at No. 10 USC: Late

■ No. 17 Gonzaga 76, Texas 71 (OT): Rui Hachimura came off the bench to score a career-high 20 points, Josh Perkins added 15 and the Bulldogs (5-1) blew a 21-point second half lead before putting away the Longhorns (4-2) in a consolatio­n game of the PK80 Invitation­al at Portland, Ore. Matt Coleman led Texas with 19 points and Andrew Jones finished with 18.

■ Georgia 83, No. 21 Saint Mary’s 81 (OT): Reserve guard Tyree Crump scored five of his 17 points in overtime and the Bulldogs (5-1) edged the Gaels (5-2) in the third-place game of the Wooden Legacy tournament at Fullerton, Calif. Jock Landale led Saint Mary’s with 33 points and 12 rebounds.

■ (At) No. 23 UCLA 87, UC Irvine 63: Prince Ali scored 16 of his career-high 21 points in the first half, Thomas Welsh added 13 points and 13 rebounds, and the Bruins (5-1) defeated the Anteaters (3-5).

■ Arkansas 102, Connecticu­t 67: Jaylen Barford, who finished 4 of 5 on 3-pointers, scored 16 of his 24 points in the first half, and the Razorbacks (5-1) used a huge second-half run to rout the Huskies (4-2) in the consolatio­n bracket of the PK80 Invitation­al at Portland, Ore. C.J. Jones added 19 points and Daryl Macon had 16 for Arkansas. UConn’s Terry Larrier had 18 points and Jalen Adams added 16.

■ (At) Mississipp­i State 59, Jacksonvil­le State 56: Quinndary Weatherspo­on (13 points) hit a 3-pointer with three-tenths of a second remaining to lift the Bulldogs (5-0) over the Gamecocks (4-2).
