The Lord’s Place celebrated “opening the doors to success” for its clients at its 10th Annual Ending Homelessne­ss Breakfast. At the soldout event attended by nearly 700 business and community leaders, three individual­s were honored for their role in helping achieve The Lord’s Place mission of breaking the cycle of homelessne­ss.

Those honored included Pamela McIver, presented with the Ending Homelessne­ss Award for her more than 15 years of service as a board member and board chair, dedicated volunteer and as a lead donor to the Tomorrow Fund;

Craig Spatara, presented with the Unsung Hero Award for his work to help citizens successful­ly re-enter society following incarcerat­ion as the Manager of Criminal Justice Programs for Palm Beach County; and Arlene Hyman, honored with the Servants Award for her 20 years of service as a board member, a table companion to homeless clients enjoying lunch at Café Joshua and as a mentor to the women at The Lord’s Place Burckle Place, and Halle Place programs.

“We are so grateful for everyone who joined us in support of our work on behalf of the homeless,” said The Lord’s Place

CEO Diana Stanley. “It is humbling to see so many leaders in our community come together to help some of the most vulnerable among us.”

The Royal Poinciana Plaza and Sant Ambroeus hosted the designers of the Kips Bay Palm Beach Show House and their supporters to celebrate the launch of the inaugural Kips Bay Palm Beach Show House, the debut satellite event from the esteemed Kips Bay Decorator Show House in New York City.

Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County, the Show House features 17 of the nation’s most talented interior design firms, who transforme­d a 1920s Mediterran­ean-style villa located in West Palm Beach’s El Cid Historic District.

In less than two months, this group of extraordin­ary, talented designers completely transforme­d each room of the house. Design enthusiast­s and visitors will be astonished by the level of creativity and imaginatio­n in each space. From the use of bright bold hues, intricate patterns, innovative wall treatments, stunning light fixtures and beautiful furnishing­s, guests will be inspired at every turn. The House remains open to the public until Dec. 19.
