PALM BEACH POST PREDICTIONS
Adam Gase conceded Friday that
Miami has had a
hard time covering talented tight ends.
How is Miami going to cover Travis Kelce? Who’s going to cover Tyreek
Hill? Who’s going to slow down Kareem Hunt? Miami’s playoff chase ends on a chilly Christmas Eve
day in Kansas City.

The Dolphins have said all week they’re going to play as though they’re still in the playoff chase, but this will be a tough weekend to back that up. The Chiefs are looking better lately and can clinch a postseason spot with a win, plus it’ll be as loud and cold as any stadium in the league. But the Dolphins tend to turn up in games where it looks like there’s no chance — Atlanta, New England — and they’ll get one this week to keep hope alive heading into the season finale.
Dolphins 23, Chiefs 21
Both teams went through dreadful midseason stretches. One team snapped out of it. The other remains an enigma. (I’m confident you can figure out which team is which.) The image of Kareem Hunt running through tackles and Travis Kelce finding seams in Miami’s defense should frighten any Dolfan.

Wouldn’t it be just like the Dol
phins to turn in a great performance now that it’s really too late to matter? I don’t feel it coming, though. The Chiefs have too much to play for,
and they’ve got a running attack
that will be vital if the weather is as cold and raw as you would expect in Kansas City.
