The Wellington Amphitheat­er, 12100 Forest Hill Blvd., kicks off a new year of events from 5 to 9:30 p.m. Thursday with the Food Truck Invasion and a free 1980s tribute concert from On the Roxx. The food trucks head to Royal Palm Beach from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday for the village’s Concert in the Park series and Food Truck Invasion at Commons Park, 11600 Poinciana Blvd. This week’s free concert features the Aerosmith Tribute by Jaded. Pets on leashes are allowed. The event is rain or shine. Bring your own seating and an umbrella or poncho if it rains. Upcoming installmen­ts of the free Concert in the Park series will feature the Wolfepak Band on Feb. 2, Tom Petty Tribute by Petty Hearts on March 23 and Latin Night on April 27. COUNCIL MEETINGS

Wellington’s Village Council will have its first post-holiday meeting at 7 p.m. Monday at Village Hall, 12300 Forest Hill Blvd.

Royal Palm Beach’s Village Council voted at its Dec. 21 meeting to cancel its meeting on Thursday. The next Royal Palm Beach council meeting will be 6:30 p.m. Jan. 18 at the village meeting hall, 1050A Royal Palm Beach Blvd.

GREEN MARKETS

After a holiday hiatus, the green markets return this weekend in Wellington and Royal Palm Beach. Vendors sell locally made goods, with everything from smoothies, lemonade and kombucha to baked goodies and potted plants.
